August 18, 2026 Sir’s Golf Results
Hi Team,
The results are in for Tuesday’s CTH contest. Due to an abnormally low turnout, instead of the planned skins tournament we played CTH on each of the 4 par 3’s. As I was also one of those responsible for the abnormal turnout, I didn’t get to see any of the fine shots, but I’m sure all 3 of them were great.
CTH #5
Matt Clay had the best shot here with a 15′ 0″ effort. Actually, Matt’s name was the only name on the card so either no one else got on or they were so far away they didn’t bother measuring. $20 for 1st Place.
CTH #7
John Holthouser had the best shot on # 7 and actually the best shot of the day – he landed just 6′ 5″ away. And just like Matt, his was the only name on the card. $20 for 1st Place.
CTH #12
Eddie Warzee (Used to be a much better bowler than golfer, but now I don’t know) continued his descent out of the high handicaps with an oh-so-close, just missed effort that landed only… only… wait, what? 80 FEET AWAY? What the heck, guys? On Hole #12? Lol..!
Anyway, good job, Eddie. And just like the other winners, his was the only name on the card.
CTH 17#
The pond beat everyone… No one made it on the green.
Ok, so for our next tournament on September 15, I propose we do Danny’s World Famous Colored Ball Scramble Contest. With a couple of minor tweaks – We have 2 sets of winners; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for the 3 lowest teams who still have their colored ball at the end and smaller consolation prizes for the 2 lowest teams who do not have their ball; 1st and 2nd place only. And the usual CTH payouts for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. For those who don’t like scrambles (which I think may be the most fun format of all…) – Relax, we’ll use handicaps to even the teams.
“Hey, seriously! I mean it – STOP talking to my ball.” — Some random psycho single we got hooked up with at the Presidio in SF, after one of us said – “Get legs” as his putt started to run out of steam..
